[BC] Walkin' to (somewhere besides) New Orleans

If you've seen the item I posted on the BDR, regarding the letter the FCC sent to a translator owner who has been walking a license across Wisconsin, perhaps you have wondered if this is the signal the FCC is about to do something.  ( www.theBDR.net/articles/fcc/rules/walkers.html )

With increasing use of translators for AM stations, it does seem that it is way past time for the FCC to update the rules.
And, remember, the 3rd FNPRM from last summer proposed to eliminate a lot of translator apps, in favor of LPFM.

On the other hand, the FNPRM doesn't really open many avenues for LPFMs to generate any operating cash.
