[BC] Big copper theft in IA

      Years ago in one of our Lotus stations in Tucson, the jock called the CE who was the GM to inform him that the readings for the directional array were bad. (remember every 30 minute readings?)  When Phil arrived, He saw a couple of guys running off through the fields, and a surplus army jeep with a winch running and just rolling up a ground radial onto the winch spool.  Cops called, jeep turned out unregistered, ended up confiscated and sold for more than the cost of the copper taken although they had gotten about a third of the copper around one tower.
