[BC] Internet blackmail or stupidity? Barracuda users, especially, note!

Related Issue:

Yahoogroups is no longer passing third-party ISPs..For example: While I
use Gmail for incoming mail - with reply-to the gmail address in the
header - the actual outgoing server is my ISP - Earthlink.net However,
I also have used my OWN domain - RadioXTZ.com - and still get the error
message from Yahoo. I've switched several of my Yahoo memberships to my
RadioXTZ.com email to get around the problem, but others, for whatever
reason (mostly traffic volume and email sizes) have to remain via direct
Yahoo-to-Gmail. And while I could use Gmail's SMTP server, if it goes
out via Gmail's servers, then Gmail thinks it's already been read, and
it won't download to Thunderbird. Hence, I don't know if the email
reached its intended destination listserv, because the echoback never
gets past Gmail.

<sigh>

One solution might be for everyone to thoroughly check the header and/or
actual URLs of any links - and maybe backtrack offending spammers, bots,
virii, and trojans and slag the originating system...

Or at least *not* click through / reply to suspicious emails. (T-bird
will display the actual target URL in the status line at the bottom of
the screen, so you can see where it's going to go before you click.)
