Hi Tom:

Been awhile since I was in one of these exciters but if it comes with a service manual it should make it easier to change frequencies and properly set up the AFC on it. I think I had to change some varicaps in one of these exciters 20 years ago (plus the rubber shock mounts as they had dry rotted), cured a lot of noise in the unit.

Working for a public radio station I have a lot of equipment that has been well maintained but is pretty obsolete and has been replaced by more modern equipment. I only keep it around if I have a major failure and need to utilize it. Otherwise it sits and looks pretty.

Just how good or otherwise is this box; and how difficult would it be to
re-tune to another frequency? There's one on eBay for $99.99 on 88.5...

Sidebar question: Has anyone noticed that a lot of the FM RF equipment
on eBay seems to be NCE reserved-band?
