By the way Paul & others.... I was a jock at KSTN in the Summer of 1968.
Knox and I got along very well. I had a good time there. Oh, I had never
seen a request line that never stopped ringing.... 24 hours a day. Yes, the
station had an audience...a big one at that. I'm glad I retained their
jingle package. Never did like it. Well I had just come from KFRC (Johnny
Mann Singers). I returned to KFRC then it was on to Detroit's WJBK with the
late K.O. Bailey and Mike Scott. Had fun there and even have a scar from a
mugging as my souvenir. Luckily, it's hidden by hair. Yes, I visited the 12
tower array known as WJBK. George B. Storer was crazy to spend a million
bucks for that. 400KW from the Lincoln Park beam I believe. There are many
more stories about that installation but I'll save you the pain. My '69
Camaro headed for home in November on Route 66. I was 23 years old. Fun
time. Next stop KLOK, San Jose.
