 I haven't the time to try it, but I suspect that like the KDE apps themselves,
 they'll run on any window manager as long as the full KDE is installed.

 Rivendell was written with QT. KDE is heavily dependent on QT.
 Therefore if KDE is already on the box, then most likely the QT libraries
 Rivendell requires are also on the box, but that does not mean that
 one must use KDE for anything at all, or even that it be on the box
 as long as the shared QT libraries are.

 M$ used to be this way, too, back in the Win3.x/NT3.x/NT4.x/early W9x days
