[BC] Positive peeks.

   In 19 76 I was managing a little am day timer fm combo licensed to Diboll just south of Lufkin Texas. At that time we were still using a Gates b c 1. We had an old c b s volume max, some kind of peek limiter and, a thing called a dynamic presence equalizer processing the a m. We went to Quincy and brought a new m w 1 back. When we got it installed one of the salesman did a couple of commercials that kicked off the transmitter with positive peeks. For a few days it was standard procedure for the disk jockey to start that spot, jump up and punch the transmitter back on and, get back to the board in time to fire off the next spot
