I remember "Super CFLs" version. It was the last song played on the Larry Lujack Show when the format was changed to Beautiful Music. WCFL just couldn't hold up against WLS. I know Larry had a contract with the Chicago Federation of Labor that he could get out of and had to stay at WCFL until he could break the contract, then he quickly went back to to WLS to be the morning jock.

To me, Larry Lujack will always be SuperJock. Tom Joyner is cool, but these days, his show is more ethnic rant than old school soul, the music I liked that was a big part of Top 40 Rock when you and I were growing up. When I'm in the mood for Old School Soul, I listen to 1070 WDIA-AM out of Memphis (on line) at night. I crank up my computer's mixer and have it blasting all over the house. They play the real old school soul.

That's what I loved about WLS, a Top 40 mix of hard rock, soul, bubble gum top 40. You never knew what you were going to hear next! It all blended in together!
