[BC] AM rxers and clueless management

It's quite true that with the great majority of am receivers it might
be a struggle to tell what sounds good. The radio in my 2004 Dodge
Ram is typical, FM is passable but underpowered, and the AM is the
usual 50 cents of added circuitry with a if bandwidth of maybe 4kc at
the most - just enough to pass the subtle nuances and inflections of
Rush's voice as he says the same thing he's been saying since he was
in Sacramento. :/

it's got to be a PITA to have a GM or other such higher up demand the
station sounds as they like it when
their version of what sounds good is a farce. I'm not sure I would be
able to take it. I never understood the
penchant of management to employ people of a skilled ability
(engineers) n pay them good sums of money only to make sure that
they could not do their jobs correctly. This has been the case in
every job I've held in electronics manufacturing. It seems like from
what I hear on this list that it goes double in radio.
