I ripped out my Collins, Model #200 Turntables three years ago and gave them away and trashed every piece of vinyl in the station. I knew any of those songs on those records I could download off itunes, Napster, etc. I gave the turntables to a guy who has a little internet station he broadcast part-time on.
I was super glad to get rid of those turntables! I am more than happy that turntable and cart machines are a thing of the past, period. No more records, and no more carts!
I'm sorry, I know some of you disagree with me, but I just do want another turntable or cart machine again. The days of putting on a record, cracking like we're having a bacon frying contest is over! Cheers to MP3!
Today's CDs are becoming a thing of the past! Heck, we have been using them for 20-25 years now and I'm ready for CDs to go and not take up space!
