did you ever think of getting a full or fractional T-1 instead of DSL as
that would be a guaranteed bandwidth.

The slightest bit of icing on the antennas and the speed goes down to nichts. When everything is clear and good I get about a meg down and almost half a meg up. Today, I'm getting 22K down and 6K up. I wondered why my VNC wasn't working worth beans on Friday and now I know. There's ice on all the antennas (including my broadcast antenna) thanks to this hilltop being susceptible to low clouds/fog sooner than some of the nearby lower elevations.

Since I've done fixed wireless a fewq questions:
1. WHere is this? How high up is their antenna and what type is it?
2. DO you know what freq you're on?
3. WHo is the provider and what equip are they using?
4. When I was working for a WiSP in NoVA we had a 27 mile shot on 5.8
ghz from tallest building in Reston to a tower in Haymarket up on the
hill. We had it set to 10mb (mostly residential off that tower). We
usually had good sigs even with the snow/ice. If there is any issues
with Fresnel zone that could definitely scrwe things up
Leon
Depending on freq, ice/snow could definitely affect the signal.
