[BC] Long Wire

That makes sense for a detune where optimal efficiency
is not the objective as 20~25 dB rerad suppression is
usually sufficient to render the effects of the structure
insignificant.

However, where maximum radiation efficiency is critical
it appears a lower girdle **and** balanced spider feed
is advantageous, not to mention that the girdle may
simplify the skirt tension and centering configuration,
especially with the preferable six wire skirts.
