 I'd shunt feed it, preferably a slant wire feed if legal for you.
 That way, you "find" an R match point if one exists, and cancel
 whatever j with an appropriate series reactance. Done !
 Essentially no ATU at all. No complex adjustments, minimal
 engineering. It "just works."

 Failing that, out-rig a drop wire from the top, evenly spaced to the
 base of the stick, and match with whatever ATU. Done.

 Of course, as much ground system as you can manage.
 The closer you can get to a full radial system the better.
 Securely bond the stick itself, including the trailer, to the
 ground system.

 Check your coverage. You should be pleasantly surprised.
