When I was out there they also fed the Non-D 50 Kw tower with 1 5/8" foam
transmission line.

50 kilowatts at 125% modulation through this line sure seems like a recipe for
disaster.

FCC data shows that it has  a 96.6 degree tower, so it could benefit from a
little over twice the height that it has, so as to push more of the signal
out horizontally and send less up at a steep angle.....
