1st amendment.
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

The Supreme Court has declared that restricting advertising is restricting free speech which is not allowed. It is up to "the people" to understand that corporations may spend lots of money on commercials so they should listen or watch with that understanding. It is not up to the government to "protect" the people from such advertising.

Foreign interests have always attempted to meddle in American affairs and they will continue to do so. It is up to the educators to insulate the people from harmful intrusion with education, not the government.

Are you referring to the decision to allow corporations to contribute
(unlimited, I think) funds to political parties/candidates?

Please discuss this further, if you would. I personally think this is
wrong, that contributions should be limited to individuals, and that
corporations should have no right to contribute to our political system. The
reason being then that seems to open doors (further) for foreign interests
to meddle in our political system.
