Now, here are some interesting gadgets, and collections of equipment and
data from the days of old.

    I'd completely forgotten about the HP "decade counters" that were the
first electronic counters I encountered (no pun intended there) with their
simple, but very readable displays.

 As far as frequency or event counters are concerned, what type of display
was used prior to these decade counters?
