The short answer is that the only **required** logging
is EAS and tower light logging, HOWEVER, if the FCC
stops by and finds you operating out of tolerance
it **may** be helpful if you can show a recent history
of fully compliant operation. So, while Tx logs are not
required by the Rules they may or may not be a bad idea
depending on the operation.
When Tx logs are made a typical interval is 3 hours
with an entry after each sign-on and every power change.
Just remember, if the station is on the edge of
compliance or you have a GM who likes to "push" the
envelope, anything written can be used against you.
Still, if it were me, I'd make sure the operation was
compliant and would keep logs, but that's just me
because I started out doing it every 30 minutes and
had to sign every page. Old habits die hard. :)
