I have been saying something similar since 1969 B.C. (Before Computers.) I even worked briefly on an install with Ken Aitken, who automated a station about the same time and place that Paul Schafer did. So he may have been the first, I don't know. You ALWAYS have to determine your needs and get the system that will match that. Not the other way around. I have seen Rivendell at the NAB and it looks good. It's just that I have had no hands-on experience with it, as Cowboy has.It was developed by broadcasters for broadcasters, so that is a big something in its favor.
