Kevin...

Cowboy will recommend Rivendell, which runs on Linux boxes....

Me, for the money, your situation sounds tailor-made for

Station Playlist

http://stationplaylist.com

And the support is usually BETTER than 24/7, because there's a USER
FORUM as well as "official" support.

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/StationPlaylist/

And since the developers are in New Zealand, those 3AM crashes you're
worried about occur during office hours over there... <grin>

About the only thing it won't do (yet) is record off-line feeds for
later playback... I think.

I think at current exchange rates, it's under $400 for the complete Pro
suite...

And that includes 12 months' support and upgrades / updates; which runs
about $50/yr to stay on top of the latest version...

There's even a subaudible cue detector included!

Oh, that's for ONE station, I should add... although additional licenses
can be purchased at a (huge) discount; just ask Ross.

HTH!
