Agreed... there is NO better support team than Prophet NexGen. I laugh
in the face of all other support teams... 'ha ha ha'!
But seriously, if it's set up like they prefer you to, or done by
them... Any downtime will not be due to your automation system.
It's redundant, solid, and not to mention one of the more usable for
your air staff.
Takes a little time to figure it out technically... but honestly, I had
stopped trying to learn it for myself, and just immediately called their
tech support which always answered, and hardly ANY hold time, for any
problems/questions/changes I had.
I can only assume it's still that good, since I haven't worked with it
extensively in a couple of years.
WideOrbit...
Honestly, they should call it 'The Phoenix' because it's risen from the
ashes so many times.
What owner/version are we on now?
Computer Concepts, Scott Studios, D-Marc, Google, Wide Orbit... Anyone
else I'm missing?
Maybe Wide Orbit will get it right and succeed where even 'the mighty
Google' failed.
I've got a feeling though, as soon as you call them about a new install,
they're going to try and sell you a package deal with their traffic
system, etc. that you didn't even know you wanted/needed.
A lot of choices out there.
I'd just get together the features you need, the budget you have, and do
as much research as possible.
You can find negative and positive things to say about every system...
truth be told, they all operate differently... so find the one that
matches as much of your criteria as possible, and give it a whirl!
Good luck
