On this receiver, a red power indicator means a fault of the IDU of some kind (well, that's obvious). If your receiver is set up with the default configuration, there is a whole list of faults that could be the problem, EXCEPT a fault of the ODU. To find out what the problem is, connect a computer to the M&C port as described in your manual. Once you have connected to the unit and logged in, type the command "FL_0" where "_" is a space. If there are any faults, you should get a response like "FL_17" or "FL_18". This is a HISTORY of faults, and doesn't mean they are all CURRENT. At this point, type in "CF_0". which will clear the fault history. If there are any new faults, they can now be seen by again typing "FL_0".  Refer to the Fault chart in the manual to see what the problem is.
 
You can do a quicker check by using the "ST_?", but this gives you a cryptic number that isn't easily translated to a particular fault.
