I completely disagree, Chip.
I think adding channels 5 and six would help a LOT! First off, you put most of
the AM stations there (as Canada is doing with their AMs). Next, you allot one
or two frequencies to the National Weather Service/Homeland Security-and have
smart radios that automatically can go there in case of emergency. Finally you
allot two or three channels for exclusive hobby use with 1 watt ERP.

THREE problems solved in one swoop! Also, make the band 100% digital.
