They had to "bury" NBC. I think NBC gave Westwood 10 years to use the 
brand. When I was at WPIX-FM I had a meeting scheduled with Norm 
Pattz' second in command (name escapes me). I received a phone call 
from him to cancel the meeting. He said "You'll never guess what we 
just did. We bought Mutual."

I believe mutual was a total purchase. It had no other properties. 
NBC still had the TV network.
