Ampeo was crap. The wiring was all 30 guage enameled wire and if you opened
the front panel enough times the enamel came off and shorted channels out.
Also the opamps (1458s) are dual 741 opamps, the worst possible chip you can
use for audio.

It is much smaller and lighter. This thing was an early example of junk 
being labeled RCA and has nothing to do with real RCA stuff.
