[BC] Cable TV interference

When I lived in Florida I noticed I could hear television audio every
6 MHz on my scanner. And they coincidently were on frequencies used
by cable television. I DF'ed the problem to the pole and called them.
Mind you I was a cable subscriber. I got a call back accusing me of
stealing cable. I asked them to elaborate and they said I should not
be able to intercept their signal unless I was stealing cable. I
pointed out I was a paying customer and had no reason to steal cable
and I was sure they were in violation of some FCC rule. It just kept
coming back to me being a cable thief.

I never got it resolved and ended up moving shortly after.
