Back when I worked at WSJW in the early 70's ( 1971 I think) I had to sign off on a Saturday PM and do a Sunday AM.  I lived some 45 miles from the station,  so I had a cot and slept at the station.  We had a full kitchen and an outdooor grill.  We had 2 bathrooms, but no shower, but if I wanted to I could shower at the owner's house about a mile up the road. I would sign off on Saturday evening and grill a steak and baked potato many nights......
