Wow this thread has really turned bad now.  I enjoyed all the stories of dumb acts on both sides.  Those go right along with the pranks that are fun to read about.  I too have worked both jobs, and I see the points on both sides, but if you have a situation with poor operators or a poor engineer, that is a reflection of a poor manager.

Right now I am pushing buttons at a local TV station, doing radio engineering, and some part time on-air work.  All three positions are seriously endangered species.  I think we should try harder to get along in the time we have left.
