What this turned on was this: No one told her that this was dangerous. She
signed a standard release form-like the ones you sign to be in a dance
contest. If she had been TOLD that this was dangerous before she started then
we'd be in agreement-but she wasn't. AGAIN I say, she wasn't a member of the
medical community. She put her life in the hands of a radio station and
through their negligence she died.
I highly doubt that this will be overturned....and neither do any of my lawyer
friends.
Not one....though some believe that it will be appealed and settled.

I do not have to agree with you, but I will actively protect your
right to say the most foolish thing you can think of to say because I
still believe that if one of us is silenced then all of us will
eventually be.
Most of my comments have gone to the deeper issues here, and I've
commented on how folks seem to be distributed along a continuum
between personal responsibility on one end and total abdication of
personal responsibility on the other.
The fact is, sad as it is on the face of it and no disrespect
intented, a "young mother" was ultimately stupid and ended up paying
the ultimate price. She could have walked away at any time if she
wished to do so, and in fact the game was set up to encourage her to
walk away. She opted to stay, and paid the price for it. These are
the facts of the case and I don't remember that they were contested.
