Am currently staring at a photocopy of an advertisement from Billboard
Magazine (5 August 1944) for WOWO/Fort Wayne.
It says: "listen to Hoosier Hop. It's on the Blue, every Saturday
night at 11:00PM, E.W.T."
I have figured out that "E.W.T." is Eastern War Time, which was GMT
-4, year round.
Is "on the Blue" a reference to the NBC Blue Network?
If so, was the "Hoosier Hop" show ... I guess "syndicated" might be
the right word ... on the NBC Blue Network each Saturday evening?
(What I'm trying to figure out is...if the entire NBC Blue Network
chain of stations heard that show each Saturday night, or if only
certain NBC Blue Network stations heard it. Or something else
entirely...)
Best,
- Blaine
