If anyone in NYC hears of a public memorial/remembrance for Soupy, please post it or forward it to me via email. I knew I'd never get to meet him in person but always promised I'd be there when they held a celebration of his life.

My list of personal heroes is an eclectic one to be sure. The folks who have inspired me in varying degrees of technical acumen and on-air performance include Soupy, Dr. Robert Moog, Les Paul, Dan Ingram and several others. There's not a lot left on that list anymore...damn...
