I have a Dell Mini 9.
It works GREAT under Ubuntu, though Dell's Ubuntu is a bit weird, but
it is easy to load standard Ubuntu 9.10 on the machine.
With a large enough drive, it runs Mac OS X.5. I haven't tried it
yet, but it appears OS X.6 is close to working properly.
You can run "T" SSD drives of up to 128 GB, and with some simple
"modifications," 70 MM SSD drives of up to 128 GB.
If you use the 70 MM drives, and don't need the cellular card, you can
run a touch screen, which fixes the problem of the pretty marginal
track pad.
That is where I am headed, a 138 GB OS X machine with a touch screen.
Not too bad for less than $800.
The 10v is a bit bigger, and easier to operate, but doesn't run OS X
quite as well, but people are working on it.
It does have the same touch screen options, and is bigger.
If you want to run Windoz on either machine, I wouldn't. The memory
and drive space are far too small. But for Linux, both machines rock.
