Illinois has a state radio channel used for distribution as well.  It's
been in place since the very begining of the system.

It's not a utopic system by any means as locals don't have access to the
channel. But it sure beats the daylights out of the old daisy chain system
which often didn't make it past the first relay out of Springfield.
