Agreed.
Digital turns analog into a bunch of numbers. Numbers are very easy to store
and copy.
I just want MORE numbers then can be provided with 44.1 kHz, 16 bit.

Give me 96 kHz, 24 bit and I'll be happy!

Ed is a keenly insightful fellow.

Of course the benefit of digital is that we can transport it and reproduce it
infinitely with no degradation.  Not so with analog.
