I have used POP3/SMPT with Comcrap, and it works fine.

I wouldn't use M$ LookOut or M$ LookOut Express if you held a gun to  
my head.  Been there, done that, have the very scratchy t-shirt.  If  
you have an Exchange server at work, you don't have much choice, but  
if not, WHY?
