[BC] Netbooks and Audio

Well, except that the original post was to report from the field  
using a netbook and send the audio back to the studio using a  
cellular data card.

The H2 is a good unit, and quite inexpensive, but one would STILL  
need a computer and cellular data card.

A simpler approach would be to use a mic and the internal sound card  
in the netbook.  Better quality would be had by using something like  
an M-Audio or Behringer external sound card and a good mic.  Another  
alternative would be to use one of the new external condenser  
microphones that actually have an USB output.

Still, an H2 in the kit would be a good idea in case you are forced  
to leave a mic on the lectern.
