Hi all,

I had to replace the cavity air switch assembly on the "old dog" and the new one has a problem. On
the original, they used the high input for the sensing tube, and put an allen-head plug in the low
pressure input. I setup the replacement the same way and after installing it, it would not work. I
pulled it out and discovered that as long as the plug is in the low input the switch will not
operate at all regardless of how much pressure I apply (blowing really hard into the tube). Remove
the plug and the thing works fine. I hesitate to leave the low side open as it exposes the thing
to contamination from dirt, etc.

A call to Harris tech support got their usual response ("let me read you the instruction sheet I
have") which was just some setup instructions, and the guy acted like he never heard me say that I
had tested the switch out of the transmitter and it will not work!! His second response was "I'll
send you another one".

Anyone run into anything like this on these Dayton switches? If so what did you do?

Thanks!
Tommy Gray
