My rant mode is never off when it comes to this issue. And Donna, welcome to
the real world if I may be so bold and arrogant to say so.
I've gone to great lengths to write companies with whom I am displeased,
especially Dell. The last time I bought a Dell, was my first AND last, and I
told them why (and it was for the very same reason you've just eloquently
described).
Now, take that healthy dose of this anger, and this note (and re-tailor it a
bit) and send it to R&R. Nearly verbatim, and give 'em hell Harry!
I agree with you 1000%, there is little excuse for automatically going the
cheap route by ANYone. I see this in government, and we (all of us) get
screwed everytime a government contract is let to the lowest bidder. The
same goes for companies going the cheapest route but it's not just because
they are greedy (yeah, pleanty of that to go around), but's also because
it's what they think we, the investors want.
Well, that's short term thinking, and find it faulty. Short term money now
to short America later is not wise. And this is why I buy anything possible
that is made in USA, and that search is a chore.
....ok, take a deep breath, Dave..... rant mode off.....for now.
