The FCC authorized sending a copy rather than the actual license in
when I sent in my paperwork and they sent me a General with no
problem, so I still have all of my expired 2nd and 1st certificates.
When I got my first 2nd phone I also got the Ship Radar Endorsement
which was carried over to my 1st and all subseiquent renewals and the
lifetime General.  I wonder if that endorsement is worth anything
today.  I know that I got the General before I got remarried Nov of 85
so that narrows down the time frame somwhat.  While the General was
good for a lifetime the marrage wasn't <g>.
