I have my last 3rd class, Second class, First class and my current 
General.  The 3rd, Second and First were given or mailed back to me 
with CANCELLED across the front. So I do have them. And to say.... what 
ever they are worth now. IF you lose your General or take the test ( 
whatever for?) you get a small pocket sized piece of paper. I asked the 
FCC on that one.
