You guys have it easy. My first "field" engineering was
to help WPI's Prof Down Howe make field intensity measurements
for WORC in Worcester. We used a NF-105, a tripod-mounted antenna,
two car batteries, and a Dynamotor. I got paid about $1.hr to lug
that stuff around.
Cheers,

A Consulting Engineer I worked with early in my career, told me to
tell anyone who asked that I was the preliminary survey person out
prospecting for oil.
