In another life when I ran sign-off audio we ran a local movie after Johnny Carson. The master control operator would cancel all the PSA's on the log for an early sign off. Apparently traffic never checked the logs, because it went on for months until the program director got calls from the local Children's Center asking why their PSA's never ran.
