Uh -- there are some on this list, like Bill, who might dispute your
assessment of LV. I had heard, for instance, that LV has one of the highest
number of churches per capita than `most any city in the US. It's not all
bad. As for gambling, I have only missed one LV NAB convention since 1987
and have never so much as put a nickel in a slot machine. Like you, I go
for business.
As for the the convention, I have a limited amount of time that I can spend
there, and mainly confine myself to the North Hall. I am very glad that
they put the radio and most of the audio booths there. I haven't been to
the South Hall in years.
Declining attendance? Maybe station budgets have affected it somewhat, but
still draws around 100,000 people. Until they can get some sort of Virtual
Reality thng going on the internet, I guess I'll continue to go, if even
just for a day.
