The older IRF350's would not switch fast enough for the RF PA and was
inconsistent from what I heard. Which is why you ALWAYS ordered them from
Harris and for good reason. They tested every device as they came in to
insure it met their spec.
That's no longer needed today for that device.
The newer generic IRF350 design is a much tighter and faster tollerance
than the older versions. Thus, the device to device difference is so small
that they're basically interchangable except in very tight spec
applications.
