Well, I wasn't asking for a list, but you've given me some good ideas.
Some that I had not thought of.
What prompted the initial post was the thought that the same army
backpack that I used on Mt Rainier last summer would be very useful as a
"toolbox" when climbing a particular hill with a couple of transmitters on
top. It occured to me that this was "odd" (well, define odd, I guess), and I
wondered what unique gadgets/procedures, etc folks from other parts of the
country use.
The road has been plowed a time or two this winter, but a day of wind
fills it right back in, and now there is about 2' of snow up the entire
path. I've climbed this hill in the past with toolbag in hand, and it's
"unhandy". This backpack (and the fact that the snow has been wind-hardened)
made it so much easier Saturday.
Thanks for the fine list, Jeff. Well thought out.
