Barry, I once walked into a station that had an assignment to monitor
a TV station a LONG way away. While I MIGHT have been able to put a
VHF TV antenna at 200 feet on the AM tower (with an FM on it) there
was a HUGE mountain in the way. It wasn't working. It could never
work.

We were on NWS and the state's VHF network. It was a very nice thing.

Still, we could not receive the Second station, and Physics be
DAMNED, we could not fix it!

I suggested Dish Network.

AMAZINGLY, they had a Broadcast Only package at only about $5 a month
at the time. Dish only wanted to know that we were using it
internally, not for a reception area.

At the time, everyone was OK with it, though I saw issues.

I have absolutely no idea how that is working out now.
