[BC] RF fields around base of shunt fed monopole

Thanks all for your replies, they sort of confirmed my suspicion. The weather guys have all right to say they won't work at the base weekly without transmitter off, and the broadcaster doesn't care for that. Building a faraday cage around the base area isn't in the plans. It isn't the end of the road for the broadcaster, just one of the avenues explored. I have a good Narda meter, and am thinking of going to a similar site with a longer stick nearby to verify ground proximity readings using H field probe. I can post the results here.
