My first experience listening to WPIX-FM was in 1975 or
1976 while on a trip to NYC working for CBS/Chicago.  The
station was AOR at the time - and between it and WNEW-FM,
I thought I was in FM rock radio heaven.

Repeated the trips a number of times until leaving CBS in
late '78...always enjoyed coming to NYC and listening to
the FM band....including 99.5 (we had nothing like that in
Chicago!)
