[BC] Funny hats for Engineers?

Quite a few years ago, there was a guy who had this metal hard hat, with
a 4 element quad for 432 Mc mounted on it.  He had it connected to his
HT and was working folks at the Dayton show flea market area.  Now I
know the real meaning of manual rotator.

LOL! Yes, indeed! While at Dayton, one of my co-workers said to keep an
eye 
out for the guy with the tower on his hard hat... he added something new
to it 
every year.

Sure enough, sometime on the 2'nd day, there he was... couldn't miss
him, 
either! The tower was a near-perfect replica of the real thing, complete
with 
blinking LED obstruction lights, multiple miniature antennae, etc. It
was 
impressive, to say the least!

Those antennas would probably even load-up on some microwave frequency
and 
work! ;)
