Sheesh!  probably a third to half of the country songs are 
religious-themed...

This Old House... Rock Of Ages...

Too many to name... Think "Gospel" (not Urban Gospel; that was later as 
a format).  All the records you'd play on Sunday without breaking 
format.....

Now, regarding Rock n Roll, you may have a point...
