[BC] bcst radio when jfk was assasinated

I was pulling a 'board-shift' when JFK was killed.
Recall - vividly - reading the wire copy from AP "The President is 
dead".   (Wished I had saved it).

I don't recall the format of the station, think it was country - 
After doing all news for a while, we noted that other stations in the 
market dropped their formats and starting playing strings etc.   This caused
us to have everyone run down appropriate music to play, which we did, 
until the funeral.   There was no directive to play anything special, 
everyone did this out of respect and the knowledge that country and/or
rock and roll was not a good choice at that time.
